Brad Sarno began audio work in his early teens
with experimentation on a cassette 4-track
machine as well as random live sound
situations. By the time he was 15, he was
running live sound for a number of local rock
bands. In college, he gained many opportunities
running live monitor and front of house mixes
at various festivals, concerts, and music
clubs.
Eventually entering the studio realm by the age
of 21, under the close guidance of regional
sound guru, Bob Pruitt of Columbia, Missouri,
Brad began to learn the integral workings of
the analog tape recording world. For the next
few years he continued to delve deeply into the
realm of live club and concert sound, and also
live field recording for numerous artists in
dozens of various venues across the midwest and
east coast.
By 1995 Brad opened Subterranean Sounds
recording studio in St. Louis, Missouri. During
the next 5 year span, Brad worked with many
diverse St. Louis area and national artists,
and assisted in multiple gear reviews for
Recording Magazine with audio guru Paul
Stamler. After more than 20 years of extensive
experience in the audio field, Brad's attention
shifted to audio mastering. St. Louis had
plenty of recording studios, but had very
little in mastering services available. Since
2000, Blue Jade Audio Mastering has grown to be
the primary and premier analog mastering
service for the greater St. Louis region with
numerous clients in Europe, Nashville, Los
Angeles, New York, Chicago, and much more.
